2nd Annual LCM Chili Cook-Off is Back with a New Fall Fest
Save the Date for October 15, 2011
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Trinity Lutheran Church 3973 N. Cedar Avenue Fresno, CA 93726
Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM), in partnership with area Lutheran Churches, presents the 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off on October 15, 2011. But, this year we’ve added a new feature – a Fall Fest! In addition to getting to taste test delicious chili from local Chili Chefs, event participants can enjoy a free concert from Baloney Creek, a magic show, a craft fair (featuring Lia Sophia, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, and other handmade crafts), a raffle, prizes, and much more!
Also returning to this year’s cook-off is the infamous Golden Ladle People’s Choice Chili Award! You can place your vote for your favorite chili – in the form of a free-will donation – for this coveted award. Feel free to stuff the voting box of your friends, family, or colleagues with as many “votes” as you please. This is the only time we endorse buying an election.
All funds raised from this event go towards supporting LCM ministries including but not limited to outreach to Lutheran young adults and college students, engaging young adults in service to the community through programs like the SMILE Center after-school enrichment program and the Bulldog Pantry (among others), and ministry among Lutheran faculty and staff at Fresno State.
To learn how to register your chili cook-off team, register a booth for the craft fair, so simply sign-up to volunteer, check out the Chili Cook-Off section of this site.
We can’t wait to see you on October 15!
